Why We Love Waunakee Schools: A Night at the Arboretum Elementary Art Show

There are moments as a parent that just hit you in the heart—and the Art Show at Arboretum Elementary in Waunakee was one of those moments for me.

As I walked the halls, watching my daughter proudly point out her artwork—colorful clay designs, creative photo projects, and an incredible earth-inspired light display—I was reminded why we love Waunakee Schools so much.

It wasn’t just about the art (though it was amazing). It was about the way the teachers celebrated each student’s unique voice. It was the joy in the kids' eyes. It was the care and effort that went into making sure every child felt seen, valued, and proud of what they created.

The final slide of our video said it all: “We Love Waunakee Schools”—and as the song echoed those same words in the background, I couldn’t agree more.

Whether it’s art shows, science fairs, or the everyday encouragement kids receive, the Waunakee School District continues to show up big for families.

As a parent, and as someone who helps families find the right place to call home, I can honestly say: if you’re looking for a district where your kids will thrive academically and emotionally—Waunakee delivers.
